Mango came to the Happy Hound Hotel recently because he read a newspaper article claiming that there were mice at the kennel.    We hired him even though we've never seen any mice and explained that we have a strict no-kill policy so if he sees a mouse he's instructed to give it a stern talking to and send it next door to the neighbor's property.

Mango's other duties involve sleeping, patrolling the office at night, rubbing up against things and meowing.   He's researching nutritional information about items in our Bark Market and plans to share his expertise with customers whenever he can.   Mango is not allowed outside because his desire to kill little birds can't be controlled.   Come by and meet him!!

Mango says, " If your neighbor can't smile, lend him one of yours!"

Mango's best friend  Darla was adopted! the picture above shows them snacking together. Mango will be sampling new foods, treats and toys in the Bark Market, with Marvin, Gracie, Phoebe, Piglet and Bunny giving reviews, comments and ideas.   Marvin, Phoebe and Bunny all enjoy the Verus dog food which is made by a nearby Maryland company.   The dogs at the Happy Hound all agree that it's nice to buy products from people we know instead of big, impersonal companies.

Visit "Mango's Corner"  in  the Bark Market where Mango will be offering a rotating assortment of dog and cat related items like books, photos, artwork, t shirts, collectibles, nick-knacks, do- dads and whatnots.   Mango has been looking all over for new, interesting and delightful products and gifts for the holidays.

How did Bunny and Tom   get matching black eyes? Bunny's favorite treats are the Dogswell Happy Hips Duck Breast Yum!!!

Gracie likes her new bed and says, her favorite treats are Zukes Power Bones Peanut butter flavor and she loves the Free Range Moo Chews braided Bully Sticks.

Marvin and Darla like to share toys.   Marvin says his favorite toys are the Chuckit Ball Launcher and the Duck Toy. He likes the noise the duck toy makes. Darla likes the Kong Ball and the Wubba Toy. They both agree that an occasional can of Merrick's Grammy's Pot Pie with dinner is a tasty snack.

Marvin likes his frozen, raw food from Primal.   "Mom likes to mix the raw food in with my crunchies. After a hard day playing I like a good snack."

We have Kit Kat Klocks in lots of different styles and colors.   All of the dogs love the Kit Kat Klocks even though they can't tell time!

The Chilly Dog has been eating the Orijen Dog food.   He says, "I really like the Orijen.   I hear it's grain free which is good for dogs with allergy problems.   I like it because it's crunchy and tastes good.

Marvin says, "I love my duck toys.  I have two of them.   When I squeeze them they quack.   I love to carry my duck toys and take naps with them. Sometimes Gracie takes my toys and won't let me have them.   That's why mom got me two."
